House Bill 515 takes effect July 1, 2026, blocking Mastercard credit deposits at Virginia state-licensed sportsbooks. Mastercard debit, prepaid Mastercards, and Mastercard Send withdrawals are unaffected. Virginia is the ninth or tenth state to enact a credit card sports betting ban.
